Camp Overview:
BKLYN Studios Song Camp will introduce youth to the songwriting process where they will have the opportunity to explore song concepts and learn music production in order to develop their ideas. They will learn song elements, such as differentiating intros, verses, choruses, and whether or not to write a bridge, etc and standard forms to arrange their own songs. By collaborating and writing with one another, students will learn collaboration, communication and listening skills within the context of online platforms which have become critical in this time of remote learning.
Camp Takeaways:
Students will learn to collaborate with others and co-write a song. They will use and understand basic production tools and concepts. And have fun making music together!!
-Students will each have the chance to develop and share their own songs.
-Students will collaborate with others.
-Students will learn how to explore, analyze and improve their own songs and their peer's songs.
-Students will record songs they co-wrote.
Final project:
Demo of song students co-wrote and recorded and produced on Soundtrap
